Recently, IGN asked EA why people hate EA in an article that seemed designed to dismiss any actual reasons for people hating EA. Hardly surprising, since EA was the one being interviewed about the hate for EA. Looking to set things right and restore balance to the world, Jim Sterling asks Jim Sterling why people hate EA.
The only difficult part in answering the question, "Why do people hate EA?" is deciding where to bloody begin!

why do you hate ea?

few things

1) making the same game every year with just with new rosters
2) dlc that should be on the game
3) stealing the origin idea from steam
4) buying the rights to nfl so there would be no competition
5) shutting down servers after 1-2years of the games released
6) not making anther road rash game/not listening to its costumers
7) etc . the list goes on

i havent bought a ea game since the playstation1

only bought ea game and im not super impressed with it... was good tho i guess, getting rid of it at an upcoming yard sale (bf3)


game had an unbearable single player that made me gag but the mp was why ppl bought it but ever since i tried uncharted running around with a gun isnt as fun compared to throwbacking a mega bomb across the map

About two weeks ago, EA Vice President David DeMartini said that EA was unlikely to offer Steam-esque sales via its Origin service. "I just think it cheapens your intellectual property," he said. This statement is somewhat hilarious in hindsight, as Origin is now aping Steam with a promotional sale.

When you bring something to the market to compete against something else, something that is overall successful, you're going to have to devote a lot of time and resources to it to make it even stand a chance. Origin shouldn't have existed. It was a waste or resources and doesn't stack shit compared to Steam.

Dragon Age: Origins, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Spore.
