If you haven't heard, there is a secret level in Diablo 3. Note that it ISN'T cow level. This level is called Whimsyshire and it's a very colorful and beautiful place to hang out in. I feel like a little child when I enter the secret level

Let us start with what you need to do this.
Plan: Staff of Herding - You can find this in act4 close to Izual. Talk to Haedrig to teach him the plan.

Black Mushroom - Found in a room in Cathedral Level 1 act1.

Leorics Shinbone - Can be found in the fireplace in Leorics Manor in act1.

Liquid Rainbow - Found in a cave called Mysterious Cave in act2 Oasis, it only drops by the Mysterious Chest so even if you find the cave you might not find the chest.

Wirt's Bell - This can be bought by a merchant in act2, merchants name is Squirt. The bell costs 100.000 gold.

Gibbering Gemstome - Found in act3 in the Cavern of Frost, dropped by Chiltara. This cave is located in the Fields of Slaughter. (Note: Caverns of Frost doesn't always spawn in this area. If you get Icefall Caverns just restart the game. Chiltara only spawn in the Caverns of Frost)

When you have all the ingredients for your Staff of Herding you can now go to Haedrig and craft it.
Crafting costs:
Normal, 100.000 gold
Nightmare, 250.000 gold
Hell, 500.000 gold
Inferno, 1.000.000 gold

Now when you have the Staff of Herding you just keep it in your inventory and go look for the cow kings skeleton which is found in the area of Old Tristram Road. There you talk to him and he will open the secret level for you.
Good luck and have fun killing unicorns, carebears and flowers in a very brutal and bloody way.

im searching for the gibbering gemstone now since 2 days... but this cilthara monster did not even spawn 1 time... do you have any tips or tricks how this uniq monster spawns ?

just keep looking for him. it took me about 40-50 runs to find him. i found all items on normal just cuz it was easier to do.
and i could do runs faster that way.

normal staff cost 50k to make.
nm staff is 200k not 250k i just made one a few days ago

So basically i can get all the stuff from normal difficulty? And if i decide to play in inferno, just upgrade it for 1mil, a one time cost i'm assuming.

you have to upgrade to nm, then hell, then inferno, in total it costs around 2 mil

Are these items like the keys(hate, terror,etc) from d2 which have a chance to drop? I was looking for the black mushrooms and a mysterious cave in dahlgour oasis, but havent found anything. Can I just buy the items from other people, or do I have to find myself?

I'll have to edit the prices. As posted above they are not 100% accurate. Also if you want to upgrade your staff you need a new plan which you can buy from a merchant in act4 below the blacksmith next to the Templar, enchantress and scoundrel. If you want the plan for nightmare you have to start the diablo quest just before you kill him and you need to have the staff in your inventory.

@Jace, you have tp find them yourself. The items and the staff is account bound.
