you have not driven the car either lol....

your arguing that he doesnt know what hes talking about because he hasnt driven the car and bashing him for it. Ironic that neither have you and your praiseing it

sounds like you need some debate lessons

I have driven the car and will own it in a week, stupidkid is making valued points. Numbers you look up only get you so far, go drive it and you might change your opinion regardless of what your gut tells you or the "numbers."

God, how long do you think it takes to read a paragraph about the car?
It handles great but has little power. ITS ALMOST THE EXACT SAME THING AS A MIATA JUST MORE EXPENSIVE AND NOT NEARLY AS MUCH POTENTIAL. but it does look better...

apparently people have difficulty reading a thread, let alone a paragraph.

It is more expensive, but the extra expense can be justified.

Potential.....it's too early to tell...in all seriousness

Also, it kills the Miata in terms of looks, it's not even close.

The capabilities of the boxer engine are somewhat known
There are Miatas taking down Vipers and Ferraris in a straight line without investing more then $10k into them and they can still handle great.
IMO the extra expense isnt justified at all. Your paying $4k more for the BRZ when it only beat the miata by like a second around a track. Putting the price difference in the miata would easily allow it to run over the brz.

mostly agree. There are a few hot miatas out there though

We both agree it's overpriced but it is a first year car, it's pretty expected. The GPS also adds to the price, not to mention they are very rare considering only 6,000 or so were made.

Bottom line as already stated, it will be a sexy, fun, eye-catching DD where I can enjoy driving it around the backroads where I live. If I wanted power, I would have saved up a little and bought a 5.0 Mustang GT...

Not that I really care at all, the BRZ offers standard navigation which alone is a costly feature.

I dont know where you are getting your MSRP numbers....

miata $23,470

brz $25,495

Now, I've only been out of college for 6 months but that is definitely not $4000

Also, there are lame civics taking down cars everywhere.....who cares.

Well, Subaru dealer called me back and said they shipped the car out today so it could arrive as early as tomorrow, 6 days before I expected!

Why are we still talking about power?  Have you not comprehended anything I said?  Subaru is fucking giving it more power, Jesus mother fucking Christ.
Also, in my previous post....... I said that all reviewers have pointed out the lack of power..... And even then they don't seem to mind

Not everyone buys a fucking car to race dickheads like yourself.

And sorry little child, your decisions and opinions are alway being influenced by someone else, period.

/end childish rage at unintelligent moron.

Ps, youre right, I don't know much about cars but I have common sense and can create a sensible argument

I'm not racing dickheads. It needs more power before it would be feasible for me. I think I've explained this thoroughly.

In certain situations opinions are influenced by others, specifically when there are no facts to be had. This isn't one of those cases.

You call me unintelligent yet you resort to name calling and ranting after I said I was trolling you on purpose 2 pages ago.

Your argument is far from sensible. It's built upon a sandy foundation of other people's opinions. The whole problem here is you are trying to influence my opinion with other people's opinions. I told you they don't matter to me and they won't change my own opinion. You refuse to accept that.

Who is the bullheaded babbling moron in this situation?

Quote (stupidkid282 @ Jun 25 2012 05:17pm)
I'm not telling him he is making up his opinions.......learn to read.

But I'm going to take the opinions of people WHO HAVE ACTUALLY DRIVEN THE CAR rather than his theories...especially since all he cares about is more power.

You don't have to take my opinion. It's my fucking opinion. You have your own. It's ok to disagree. Buy one if you want. BUT, based on MY opinion, I won't be buying one. I'm not trying to change your mind.

Those aren't theories by the way. Those 1/4 mile times are going to be extremely accurate. It's physics. Drag racing is all about math. The stock 6spd manual/stock tire record will probably be 13.8-13.9. I'll put money on that. Average driver's will run 14.3-14.5. Magazines will quote 14.5-15.5 because they can't drive and they run on random ass un-prepped roads.

In my opinion that is far too slow for anything designed to be sporty given what else is out there right now. It's too slow for ME. Now get off my nuts.

Quote (stupidkid282 @ Jun 25 2012 05:22pm)
And?

you never REALLY know until you drive the car.....Numbers on a page will only go so far..More common sense.

Seriously, learn to fucking argue.

Again, I don't care how "special" the car feels. It's just not fast enough. Subaru and Toyota don't know any secret tricks to make a 200hp car run 12's. If they did they would have done it by now. This is all my opinion.

Quote (stupidkid282 @ Jun 25 2012 05:39pm)
he hasn't taken the time to research it like i have...I'm not  "bashing him" for not driving the car, I'm letting him know that his opinion, his numbers/specs of the car won't matter until he drives it.

A great Review and a track day for a new FRS owner with GTR, M3, Skyline and other much faster cars previously owned.

read it....for once.

My my you are a dense one. I've done all the research I need to. You are looping back to your original point. My numbers/specs are cold hard data that cannot be influenced by any amount of "driving pleasure." Liking how it handles and the road feedback will not make it faster. I'm not spending $25-30k on something that won't push me back in the seat at all. I don't care about those editorials. Who said I never read them either? It really, really sounds like you are just butthurt because I feel like the car does not suit me and I won't buy one. How childish is that? Maybe you should go back to college. We (society) don't need pigheaded people like yourself making decisions in our adult world.
