tells you whether all the shit they're putting in the oil is actually doing anything. tells you if the oil is keeping the engine from wearing outside of expectation within a change interval. it tells you if the oil is doing its job.

units are ppm

if you look at the comments section you'll see exactly whats wrong with the oil.

there is excessive aluminum and copper in the oil. that means parts are wearing more than they should on average. so its not doing better than the average oil, its doing worse. everything else below tin is detergents and additives.

all the other information that you need to make a proper evaluation is not there

we know nothing about the motor, its history, or the way the car was driven, all having more significant aspects to do with the continents in the oil, then the oil it self.

Bingo!

You know what is comedy... That comes from a link I posted days ago about this guy with an 05 GT that does a cam swap at 7X,xxx miles & compares to his buddys cams after various miles with different oils. Its a good read it is actually saying Royal Purple >

well seeing as how there aren't contaminants in the oil sample, it's safe to assume that the motor itself is fine and is not the cause for the high aluminium and copper readings in the oil.
Hard driving is certainly a possible cause of the high readings but there are UOA's of oil being run for almost 3 times the distance the previous UOA I posted with a fraction of said UOA's aluminium and copper ppms.

IE:

The aluminium and copper readings are STILL lower.. yes, lead ppms are high, read comments. I'd rather find lead in my oil than aluminium, at least I know it's not from my pistons.
