dex does increase the chance to avoid an atack and in that case revange cant be triggered.
But if you block an attack you still can trigger revange, so block > dex.
Reduced dmg is an awesome stat , like on strings of ears it can have ~20%.
But the items which this affix are freakin expensive.

mebe you can tell me your total dam reduction and the life you loose from 1 hit?
like
70%dr from armor
70%dr from res
15%dodge
30% dr from gear like string
posible some -damage from skills, like -20%
.3*.3*.85*.7*.8 = 4.28% incoming damage
loosing 10k life from 1 avarge inferno monster hit
