There is an option within G.P.U.-Z. that is "log to file" or something similar to that; that is what would let us know if your card is overheating.

cpuid will give your GPU temps.
Then just google the tj max for your GPu

This is true, but, if it freezes, C.P.U.I.D. would be unable to record the final temperature. Am I wrong? I did not know that C.P.U.I.D. could be logged to a file, like G.P.U.-Z.

I would use Furmark so that the process would be quicker.

As long as his programs don't freeze while running in the background it will record the temps.
Same thing with GPU-Z though, if it freezes, then they would both act the exact same within this situation.
What I would do...

Open up both GPU-Z and CPUID.
Run the log file on GPU-Z
Run Prime 95, then furmark, or whatever.
Compare temps.

Troubleshoot.

Also use google.
This is an extraordinary issue.
Could also be a virus?

G.P.U.-Z.'s log updates every second, but C.P.U.I.D. would require manually viewing it to see the temperature before freezing, so this is why I had suggested G.P.U.-Z.'s logging ability versus C.P.U.I.D.

makes sense.
I'd still just run both though :b
