"Can Zen make that $1700 price tag on the Broadwell-E 6950X seem even more ludicrous? Yes."
"Press was told of a handful of high level changes to the new architecture as well. Branch prediction gets a complete overhaul. This marks the first AMD processor to have a micro-op cache. Wider execution width with broader instruction schedulers are integrated, all of which adds up to much higher instruction level parallelism to improve single threaded performance."
"The IPC of Zen is on-par or better than Broadwell.
Zen will scale higher than 3.0 GHz in 8-core configurations."

A friend wants me to build a WoW PC, so the 7700K should beat anything that AMD will have, possibly including Zen, because WoW uses mainly 2 threads with barely any on a third, AFAIK:

I don't want to feed the monopoly, but Blizzard won't add support for more threads, I bet...

I'd take those ZEN reviews with a grain of salt. AMD is still not showing any REAL benchmarks.

I'd like to see AMD CPUs make a comeback, for no other reason that it would temper, somewhat, Intel CPU pricing. But all I've seen so far, is a lot of AMD smoke and mirrors. :/

America hasn’t seen a solar eclipse like this since the end of World War I
Next August, Americans will get best chance to see solar eclipse in their lifetimes.
