Beware of fake Ryzen processors selling on Amazon

Amazon confirmed for Newegg/Ebay tier now lmfao. Then again this is the same site that allowed people to list fake ps4's was it? so that some legit retailer with a price match policy was forced to basically give them away to people.
reminds me of an unboxing video i saw of a fake 6700k where the guy just got a block of wood.

Atom was a mistake. Intel knew it from the start, that's why it was so half-assed. The sooner it gets buried, the better.

it's not that amazon is selling fake cpus, its that people are buying ryzen cpus and then putting on ihs' that say ryzen on it from intel 775 socket and rma'ing them to get money back for a free cpu, then the rma dept has no idea what a cpu is supposed to look like
"yup this is a cpu alright"
and it gets shipped back to someone as open box

it won't be an issue now that amazon is probably putting out a company wide internal controls thing for having the rma dept be able to identify what a cpu should look like for its model

p.s. the cost of the watercooler is already included with the total cost of the cpu
so technically that 12 core threadripper for 850 is only like 700$ish

oh well anyone who buys open box stuff on amazon has a screw loose anyway, that's still funny. Presumably anyone who knows their way around CPU's (or even speaks english) would cost too much to hire.
