You can certainly enjoy it as free, but for end-gaming you really need to subscribe for full access or buy individually accesses to some stuff you want. This game combat system is one of the kind. Tried all others mmos out there including newest betas of gw2 and tera and just can't seem to enjoy anything else anymore. AoC for the win.

Looks pretty fun to me

This game has never, does never, and will never compare to GW2.

I guess all 5 people that still play this game can dream about it though.

GW Combat system is a total sleepwalk compared to AoCs dynamic. Furthermore the setting and ambience in AoC has never been reached by any game so far. GW2 looks like fluffy island with its colourful graphis and mimimi classes.

Graphics are anyways by miles better than GW2....
