...okay , then since we can't explain where the original singularity came from we might as well abandon the study of the universe .

...I don't see anyone proposing that Christianity will be taught . Islam surely teaches that a Creator is responsible as did the Mayans and the Native Americans and the Jews and so forth and so on etc..

A bunch of Christians pass a law forcing the teaching of creationism in TENNESSEE and you're implying that things like Islam and Native American creationism are going to be the focus of study?

No, because we are trying to find evidence to prove and disprove current theories. That's what makes it science. There does not, will not, and cannot exist any evidence that God created the universe. And there is certainly no intent on the part of the backers of this law to encourage disproving their religious beliefs.

THIS

I'm totally 100% ok if science determines that something other than evolution created us, I'm ok if they say the big bang theory is wrong...in science you are always attempting to prove and disprove theories....which leads to growth and understanding....religious people have a rigid thought process which is unwavering in it's beliefs

...do you actually maintain that one of the roles of science is to disprove the existence of God ?
