GFX card wise it's not worth the wait. As they're working on dual slotted cards atm. (Both radeon and nvidia)
I don't think nvidia is putting in a lot of effort to create the new GK110 GFX card. As the 680 is already better than the HD7970 (with exception of extreme resolutions).
If you're planning on getting the HD7970, you might want to wait a month or two for it to drop in price when the GTX680 is more steadily available.

And I hope that a proper spectrum of ivy bridges will have been released by the middle of June.
So whenever the processor you want to get is available would be a nice time.
The official release date is the 29th of April for them, although some other models will be released up till the 8th of June.

Still laughing at thinking 16 gigs of ram will improve performance when gw2 will hit a MAX of using 2 gigs of ram

also still laughing at thinking ssd will improve the fps of a game any more.

even while running music , streaming, having 15 pornos downloading, with a movie playing on your pc while on gw2, still won't hit that 8 gigs.

Also, SSD processes the information on the drives faster, which is used when installing, and booting up programs/ operating system.

gfx cards are so far ahead of games atm it doesn't even matter, besides from the pricing if you wait, unless you're looking for performance, doesn't matter, waiting for an ivy bridge maybe, ivy bridges won't be a huge step from sandy bridge processors, a notable thing between them is the ivy bridges will have much less power consumption, which the sandy bridges are already low in that. The architecture won't be much different, which is what makes the intel processors smash amd processors.

Heck, in Metro 2033 you can hardly reach 60fps with the top end cards on medium settings
