I've been saying for months that Rashad is going to beat Jones' most difficult test to date. He used to whoop up on Jones in sparring, and although Jones has improved, and sparring doesn't = actual fighting, Rashad may very well know holes in Jones' game that none of his previous opponents have known. Not to mention Rashad is going to be the best wrestler Jones has faced, and Jones' physique will play a huge role in this fight as well. He has CHICKEN legs, the reason he can ragdoll most of his opponents is because he has so much strength in his upper body yet his hips/legs are scrawny as fuck, so it'll be interesting to see how he defends against a solid double-leg shot.

Rashad has a POWERFUL double-leg takedown, he's more than capable of putting Jones on his back repeatedly, and we've never seen Jones fight off of his back. I think Rashad takes this via UD or TKO by GnP, unless he gets careless and gets caught when he's standing with Jones.

People were saying Machida would be his toughest test, but I disagreed. I've been saying for the longest time now that Rashad has Jon's #; every time someone brings up Rashad in an interview, Jones demeanor completely changes. He admitted himself that Rashad is "in his head".

I still lol every time I hear that shit, and it's funny as fuck how in the promos for UFC 145 they edited out the part where he said "special" so he just says "This is the second time you've ruined my night".

said it a million times, lyoto was the lhw divisions only chance...for now at least, another jon jones/lyoto/anderson/gsp is bound to pop up at lhw in the future and dethrone him, but for now, jones is king. jones will brutalize rashad.

Jones is the favorite for a reason, no arguing the kid has some serious talent despite how much I dislike him, but Rashad is going to be a tough test for him. If he gets past Rashad, the division has nothing else to offer him, and hopefully he'll take some time off and move up to HW.

oh yeah, and don't get me wrong, i have NO attachment to jones and i won't be sad to see him lose. i don't particularly dislike him, i'm a fan of his talent, but that's it. i think rashad will be a tough test in the fact that any #1 contender is tough, but i think lyoto was far more dangerous than rashad is...but i've been wrong before, so we'll see.
