If you're on a dystopian kick with Orwell, pick up The Jungle by Upton Sinclair next. The similarities between Animal Farm and The Jungle in particular are striking, especially given that The Jungle is essentially non-fiction.

I read this a couple years ago in an English class, and though I really can't remember any details, I don't think I had too much trouble getting through it. And I really remember all the books I hated.

I couldn't read it in high school when I was supposed to but I read it last year, and after taking a class on the Cold War and Communism, made much more sense.
