Step 4: Setting the PartitionAfter you choose which Drive you wish to partition you will now want to Right click the Drive at the top and select
Shrink VolumeStep 5: Setting the SizeYou will now see a window showing you the size of the HDD and the total size you will be able to shrink. From here
you can enter the size you wish to partition.
Remember basic transition rate is 1000mb = 1gb of Space.
Step 6: Creating the PartitionOnce you figure out the amount of size you need to partition, enter the values and click shrink. The amount of time this takes
depends on the size you partition, Obviously the more space the longer it will take.
It Is very important not to interrupt this
once it has started, Can cause damage to the partition and/or the original HDDOnce it is finished you will see a space that has the amount you partitioned followed by the word
"Unallocated." Right
Click this and Select New Simple Volume.
You will now have a setup wizard appear, Fill in the size of the partition you just did and assign the new partitioned drive a
Letter. The letter does not matter, Pick whatever you prefer. Just don't use a letter already used by your computer.
You are almost done
Just double check NTFS is selected and then just enter a name for your drive. Typically name it whatever
it is being used for.
