I'm interested to know which direction you would sweep to omoplata from your rubber guard?
Do you go ~ Mission control, foot on hip, arm inside to grab rubber guard from inside then push against the head with your wrist/shin to sweep? This would result in you coming out to the side and on top (you on your back, them on their stomach) with your opponents arm in omo plata position..
For a beginner I think this is even more technical than to gogo plata which involves keeping your current position rather than going for a sweep..
Just interested in your input..

Haha. Failed the Ezekiel choke not *once*, but TWICE during a roll yesterday. Had my sleeve grip wrong.

Did get a decent collar choke from rear mount during another roll, though.

Earned my second blue stripe last night. Feels good man.

Hey guys.

Haven't logged in, in a while. Been really busy.

Won 3rd place at the BC Provincial Championships. Won 2 matches by submission, lost the third by submission. Videos by request, only going to pm them.

Gonna do the Vancouver Open (Western Canada's first IBJJF competition) and BC Open (cbjjf comp) in the fall. Working hard to close the holes in my game.
