Runescape 1 to 99 Smithing Guide!IntroductionI'm making this guide, because I've seen more and more people are getting interested in a Smithing Guide.
I'm currently getting 99 Smithing myself and I'd like to share my way of getting 99 Smithing with you all.
This is a costly method. It will cost you quite a bit of money in the end, but it's totally worth it to get the 99 Smithing and wear your Skill Cape proudly.
When you scroll down to the bottom of this guide you will see a few other method to achieve 99 Smithing and you'll also find a few areas, which are the best for Smithing.
Levels 1 - 29 Smithing (Option 1)This is the option I used on my character. The way to get the easy first 28 levels is by doing the quest:
The Knight's Sword. (This quest is Free to Play)

282 Bronze Bars and smith them into the best armor pieces / weaponry you can.
In the end those 282 Bronze Bars will give you
3525 Experience total, which will bring you to level
18 Smithing.
Levels 18 - 33 SmithingStart off by buying
1,178 Bronze Bars and smith them into
Bronze Platebodies.
In the end those 1,178 Bronze Bars will give you a total of
14,725 Experience, which will bring you to level
33 Smithing.
This shouldn't take more than 1 hour to achieve.
Levels 33 - 48 SmithingStart off by buying
2,591 Iron Bars and smith them into
Iron Platebodies.
In the end those 2,591 Iron Bars will give you a total of
64,775 Experience, which will get you to level
48 Smithing.
This should take you about 2 - 2,5 hours tops.
Now you're at level 48 you might want to consider getting some Sacred Clay hammers, because now the real work is about to begin.

13,921 Steel Bars and smith them into
Steel Platebodies.
In the end those 13,921 Steel Bars wil give you a total of
522,037.5 Experience, which will get you to level
68 Smithing.
With Sacred Clay hammersStart off by buying
6,961 Steel Bars and smith them into
Steel Platebodies.
In the end those 6,961 Steel Bars wil give you a total of
522,075 Experience, which will get you to level
68 Smithing.
A total of 9 Sacred Clay hammers needed.Levels 68 - 88 SmithingStart off by buying 75,615 Mithril Bars and smith them into Mithril Platebodies.
In the end those 75,615 Mithril Bars will give you a total of 3,780,750 Experience, which will get you to level
88 Smithing.
This is going to take you a very long while. Have patience and you'll be able to achieve your final goal.
With Sacred Clay hammersStart off by buying 37,807 Mithril Bars and smith them into Mithril Platebodies.
In the end those 37,807 Mithril Bars will give you a total of 3,780,700 Experience, which will get you to level
88 Smithing.
A total of 60 Sacred Clay hammers needed.Levels 88 - 99 SmithingStart off by buying
138,378 Adamantite Bars and smith them into
Adamant Platebodies.
In the end those 138,378 Adamantite Bars will give you a total of
8,648,625 Experience, which will get you your final goal,
99 Smithing!
With Sacred Clay hammersStart off by buying
69,190 Adamantite Bars and smith them into
Adamant Platebodies.
In the end those 69,190 Adamantite Bars will give you a total of
8,648,750 Experience, which will get you your final goal,
99 Smithing!

Extra Information!Levels 40 - 99 Smithing (Smelting Gold Bars: Without Gauntlets)Start off by buying
577,654 Gold Ores and Smelt them into
Gold Bars.
This wil get you
99 Smithing and a total of
12,997,215 Experience.
Levels 40 - 99 Smithing (Smelting Gold Bars: With Gauntlets)Start off by buying
231,268 Gold Ores and Smelt them into
Gold Bars.
This wil get you
99 Smithing and a total of
12,997,261.6 Experience.
Goldsmith Gauntlets are available after completing the quest:
Family Crest.

Start off by buying
508,283 Steel Bars and Smelt them into
Cannonbals.This will get you
99 Smithing and a total of
13,012,044.8 Experience.
You need to complete the quest: Dwarf Cannon to be able to make Cannonballs.

I chose this area, because it's very close to a bank and very close to the Grand Exchange. (If you ever have to stock up on bars, it's easy)
Training Area - SmeltingArea 1This area would be
EdgevilleThe furnace in Edgeville is the closest furnace located near a bank.
Smelting your bars or cannonballs in edgeville will give you the fastest smithing experience by smelting.
Area 2This area is called:
Port Phasmatys.
To get in this town you could use a
Charter Ship or you can complete the quest:
Ghosts Ahoy to be able to walk through the gates.
