So today i post up some things about v/t palas. I hope this is a bit helpful for v/t beginners and let your char own! ;)
I'm not going to say that this is the best gear/skill choise overall, but i really enjoy this char this way, and want to share that with you!
If you personally prefer something diffrent, you can post it here i'm always up to learn something new! :)
I won't post any duel strategies, since in my eyes, everyone have to find his own style vs each kind of char!
Sorry for my bad english, i try my best to be "understandable"!

Helms:

Coa 15 dr 30 all res 2 sox - Ber -req adds jool (up to you what you prefer can be -req/res or rare one with str dex fhr ect)
Shako (sock what ever you want i use jah in it vs non meele chars)
Kiras (any res jool or what ever)
Griffon's eye (sometimes i use this vs hdins and necs, they need to get light stack in this case and will lose life or dr (wisp or tg), wich is pefect for us to smite them down)

Armor:

Enigma mp/dusk/wyrim/ect

Amulet:

2 pala 18-20 fcr dex life adds

Weapons:

Grief pb
Grief ba (for range if you want that)

Shields:

Exile eth st when using 48 fcr
Spirit st when using 75 fcr

Gloves:

Trang gloves
Bloodfists

Rings:

10 fcr dex life mana or res
Bk5 - raven, wisp, dwarf to stack

Boots:

ww's 65 life
some prelod tri/dual res boots with str or dex or both

Belts:

If eu and you can afford that go for Bugbelt!
Verdungo is also really good!

Switch:

Cta 6 with 3 holy shield or 3 foh 3 conv (up to you)
bo spirit

Invent:

9x 45 Life pc sks
10x 20 life 5 all res scs (you can buy some 5 fhr 5 all res if you need them, thats up to the setup you use!)

With exile and 48 fcr, i dont reach the 86 fhr, but i never missed them to be honest! But this is everyone's own decision!
75 fcr with spirit is ez to hit 86 fhr! so i dont use any fhr sc!

But i guess you can figure out yourselfe how to hit 86 also with exile if you really want to go for 86 fhr everytime! fhr jools and some scs or sks ect..

If you want to go for full str bug, use str on rings and amulet till you can wear eni ap or eni wirefleece, and use coa ber jah!

Skilltree:

Max Smite
Max Holy Shield
Max Fana
16 Foh
11 Holy Shock
1 Vigor
1 Conv

Remaining points (depending on your level) into foh!
(Ofc there are other options how to skill him, but i prefer this one!)

At the End:

I personally use 48 fcr most of the time (you can also go for 30 fcr and use highlords)
Vs casters i go for 75 fcr with spirit (sometimes kiras too if needed)
Vs hdin and nec i also go for 75 fcr with spirit swap coa with griffon (stated above why) and trangs with bloodfists

Learn how to smite/foh lock your victim and when to smite yourselfe and wait for a jump! Just practise some time and you will find your own duelling strategies!

Thank you for reading! I hope i could help you to start off with this awesome kind of char!

Regards.

Looks right, i'd go for a 20 fcr amulet anyways as an 18 fcr one doesn't allow you to be as flexible as possible with your 75 fcr spirit setup

Arach is a nice option vs caster only chars aswell and gives more space for life/damage if you use verdungo instead of bugbelt (for example the ability to use bloodfists or a bk instead of a fcr ring)

Ah and a Cham/ber coa is really nice as main helmet so you can use a bk/wisp/natures peace without losing cnbf vs druids :)

That's just my opinion, gg guide.

oh yeah forgot about that, and yes i totally agree in this point! The coa is ofc only possible if you go for the 174 str setup ;P

One of many guides, but atleast not a shitty one like the most who use 0 fcr on a v/t or smiter :)

nice typical v/t build :)

...but imo 20ias str dex res gloves >>> trangs

more str = more smite ed

174str build allows u to use dracks -extra +5% tap, OW; natures piece (5lvl oak), wisp vs hammers and druids
