2022 7th rounder 19 year old F Alexis Gendron with 58gp 75p in QMJHL surpassing his 66gp/46p career high its not record setting but hes split 29gp for 2 teams and was over a ppg on both and seems to be developing
2021 6th 19YO D Ethan Samson 56gp 59p WHL pretty good offensive numbersfor a d man and hes the A for 2 seasons now
2021 2nd 20YO F Samu Tuomaala 30gp 46p "mesti" im thinking like finish jrs? he got 0 points in liiga seems he got demoted but he leads the league n points per game of players with 30+gp at least
2020 5th 21YO F Elliot Desnoyers 53gp 39p AHL not amazing numbers but not too bad for ahl rookie either and we got to see him in the nhl for 4 games this season too
2020 1st 21YO F Tyson Foerster 57gp 39p AHL again not amazing but not bad for a rookie season
2022 5th overall 19YO F Cutter Gauthier 32gp 37p NCAA to compare cooley(3rd overall) has 34gp 50p and fantilli(projected top5 this year)has 32gp 60p but its gauthiers rookie season and he switched from W to C on a not so great team so numbers seem fairly respectable
2017 6th 23YO F Olle Lycksell 41gp 37p AHL -pretty solid numbers for a rookie season coming over from the SHL even seen a couple nhl games
2018 1st F Jay O'Brien 34gp 30p NCAA-guys had an up and down development with injuries and switching schools not sure if hes staying in NCAA to finish schooling or not good enough for AHL or what floats around ppg in ncaa couple seasons now

nice to see some later picks putting up pretty good numbers hopefully some of these guys turn out to be steal picks
our pool isnt super deep but its got some potential on top of what we add with this upcoming draft we might be shipping guys like hart/provorov/konecny out and have lots of picks
we also got the panthers 2024 1st round pick which is top 10 protected so may get bumped back but probably not

looking like flyers get the 7th overall unless we win the lottery
6 point gap between flyers and nucks for 8th pick with 4 games left and nucks have the tiebreaker if tied which is huge cause flyers have blue jackets and hawks which could easily be +4 pts then if flyer get a fluke win vs bruin or isles we should be good
6th is looking unlikely 3 point gap and habs have 3 games remaining vs flyers 4 they would need to win 2-3 games vs leafs-isles-bruins and flyers lose out their 4 remaining game which isnt looking too likely

honestly felt like hextall kinda got shafted the former owner brought him in to rebuild then he passed and the guys that took over wanted to be a win now team
he seemed like he was stuck in the middle of clashing ideas and got the bad end of it
if he comes in as president of hockey ops that could be good i don't think he would get the GM role again maybe assistant Gm with briere

“Just wasn’t feeling well at the start of training camp. Got a couple of different MRIs and a couple misdiagnoses,” he said. “Finally, I saw someone that told me that I had a herniated disc in my C6-C7 and that I needed to get surgery right away. At the time, I really didn’t want to get surgery because it kind of freaked me out a little bit, going through the neck.”

So Atkinson tried to return to action with rehabilitation, for the time being eschewing the surgical option. And he nearly made it back, coming very close to being cleared in mid-December after returning to Columbus for a bit and working with his own outside specialists. But he still couldn’t make it through a full practice. It took until an appointment with one final doctor — a Boston College alum who had worked with the Philadelphia Eagles in the past — to finally push him to get the surgery.

“He pretty much reassured me that if I don’t take care of my atrophy in my left triceps, that I probably wouldn’t be able to play again,” Atkinson said.

Almost immediately after the surgery, Atkinson’s constant pain — which had made it difficult to sleep — dissipated. Atkinson choked up as he recalled the moment when he realized the pain had finally gone.

took another philly pro sports team doctor to convince him to do what should have been done because he didn't trust the new team doctors
but sounds like he should be healthy and ready for next season along with couts which could be huge for trade potential or just to have around
wonder if the new medical staff coulda prevented ellis from being permanently out cause sounds like a similar situation with not trusting the doctors and choosing rehab which in the end obviously didn't work
