Should not matter if it is games or not. Unless the SB can do some magic like separating foot steps and making them louder but I doubt that.

But thats just software based anyways, Easy to add to almost any device.

virtual surround is user preference, some like it some dont
overwatch has dolby atmos build into the game itself
some games have decent sound built in with binaural audio included and many games dont

sennheiser has even created their own sennhiesers binaural rendering engine
many receivers use surround algorithms for the speaker setup dts neural neo, pro logic, atmos, etc
so having a virtual surround that mixes it to binaural or 2 channel is bad?

obviously you can hear the difference there

Yeah I ended up getting the x7 since my main focus are games rather than music, also the extra bells and whistles won't hurt to have in case I do end up using it in the future. My friend has schiit stacks with his hd600s, tho I felt for games it didn't seem as good as my 598 sbz lul. Maybe I'm just too used to mine, or 600s not for fps

hd 600s are great for games actually reason I went to x7 is for bells and whistles along with sbx ofc, I like the fact you can use your phone or tablet to adjust shit while gaming to
you might be comparing sbx from your sbz

just remember to turn off the sbx on some music if it sounds weird
there is 3rd shit out there like headphones/speaker switch that you can hot key along with 3rd drivers I dont use any of though because I just use phone or tablet
