LS Starter Gear Community Directory




I. Preface

Wanting to help out those beginning LS is nothing new. There already is a LS Mentoring Thread actively running to answer questions that may arise. There were phenomenal efforts done with a fg donation system for new players in the past and there are always fun contests popping up providing incentives to make those MQs more enjoyable and rewarding.

This thread is in an effort to overcome a few shortcomings that are inherent with providing gear support. First, timing is everything. Oftentimes if that low EE item is thrown on the MP and isn't sold for 1fg, it's then thrown in the trash can. Also with minimal amount of MP slots to sell items items 19.99fg and under, it is more feasible for some ppl to not even bother picking up/selling starter gear.

By implementing a community mule directory for housed 1fg start gear, the guesswork is removed on what to list, effort is reduced by the seller as the buyer does the searching, and a larger stockpile of starter gear will now accumulate for the community through organization and more wide spread practice!




II. Target Audience

• New Player W/O Gear
  • Just starting LS
  • Having problems finding cheap gear on MP
  • Have read How To Do Your First Climb on a 20fg Budget
  
  
• Established Player Wanting to help LS Beginners
  • Don't mind picking up low EE weapons / EE Armors / Stat Charms
  • 1fg items have been a hassle to list and have been a deterrent for helping out new players
  • Have a desire to help build the community
  • Want to invest a minimal amount of effort

III. How To Add Mule To List

• Do NOT PM Me. Post in thread for adds / removals. All PMs will be ignored.
• State the Core of the mule and a link to the mule (I can clean it up so it shows just your d2jsp name instead of a URL)
• Don't house any gear that you won't sell for 1fg(preferred) to a couple fg.
• I will periodically change this first pm with name updates (Max once a month). Until then your URL in thread will serve as a reference to be searched.

We have an abundance of items the Syndicate Guild can donate for HC starter gear

I will allocate 1-2 mules for HC starter gear and all items will be 1fg (will try to return fg of transaction to new users if pm me/guild)

great idea and neat way to support new players

probably take me a few as not been slashing much and need to collect guild sets then post up --- extra items
