As you have probably known this is the upcoming WiiU




However to you this controller probably looks like a useless tablet thats overpriced and somehow used for hardcore gaming.


In my full opinion your wrong... I find it to be a controller to make games such as rpgs easier and just plain out more handy.



There was'nt much besides demos at E3 so we never got to see the actual gaming however we did see third party support which is good... but we will get to that in a moment. I made this thread mainly to express what it is not what it looks like and of course give updates on hardware and ect, though the main component of this controller is to make gaming easier such as accessing an inventory on an rpg or having every little thing that you need to buy seperate for gaming at like 50-$300 each you can just get it all on this tablet for a rough estimate of 100-300 money signs. As far as I am concerned thats the main reason for this to make it handy.



Any ways there will probably not be alot of special stuff on the controller regarding games like Mario Kart that you cant do on a Gamecube controller besides HD graphics and being able to switch from the controller to a tv. anyways lets look at the hardware it actually has in it.

Where to even start... well basically thats everything there. I dont really need to explain anything. I am happy to see the gyroscope though... it made aiming on oot 3D much easier.




also the WiiU as I have heard will be Wii/Gamecube compatible so you can use those controllers on most of the games and play those games on the WiiU which is great for people who dount want to use the expensive controller. So if you hate the controller idea no worries!



As for third party games it looks extremely promising... heres line up link. but honestly its noting special at the minute but Tekken looks good.

No games from Nintendo have been announced though besides Super Smash Bros. I believe.



So I made this thread to discuss the updates on it or rumors ect. So I guess if you find something new about it or something I never covered than post it :)

also all the 3rd party game demo were demo from xbox360/ps3 (video img) just so were clear

ya they were from those systems =/


seems useless to release on 2 other systems than make 2 years later

i think, but nothing official as of now afaik

i think its a great strategy by nintendo

considering wii was half the price of a ps3 at launch, people who bought the wii will now buy the "other half" and get a console that's in the end better than the ps3 (they said its gonna be significantly more powerful than the ps3)

i was kinda wondering why the wii was so weak but now with the wiiu nintendo has the upper hand on other gaming companies imo

yeah that's the downside, they shoudla made the wiiu sooner, but then again it woulda been more expensive
