On an uncharted continent beyond Valoran's grasping clutches, the conqueror named Olaf was born to a long tradition of soldiers unlike most others. Berserkers, as they tout themselves, are warriors who channel fury deep from their cores, unleashing pure and savage wrath upon their enemies. This fearsome evolution is a product of their unforgiving home, Lokfar - a barren tundra where all creatures must vie bitterly for every resource. Olaf belonged to a seafaring clan known for ruthlessly pillaging any and all villages within reach of their dragon-crested longboats. The last time he saw his icy home, Olaf was embarking on an expedition to pioneer and plunder a distant land known only to legend. However, while underway, a terrible storm sprung up and Olaf and his crew were thrown to the mercy of a roiling and pitiless sea.

His ship destroyed, his crew nowhere to be found, Olaf miraculously washed up untold miles from "friendly" waters on the foreign shores of Valoran, south of Demacia. This unfamiliar place stunned and frightened the Berserker, for Lokfar is not privy to such potent magicians. Approaching them, Olaf hoped that they could use their mysterious powers to send him back to his people. A bargain was struck. Olaf would use his awesome prowess as a warrior to serve the unusual wars of Valoran in the League of Legends, and in exchange the sorcerers would find him a way to return. Despite his participation in the League, Olaf knows better than to trust the "finger wagglers" that run the Institute of War. He deliberately keeps details of his life and home from them. After all, with enough information, they would most certainly find the Lokfarians and dominate them as they have dominated all of Valoran, keeping both quietly -- and unwittingly -- in their thrall.

Olaf is a tanky dps with decent life leech that allows him to easily jungle and an ultimate that allows him to escape from any form of cc.
This is how i play olay everyone has their own play style and do things differently to suite their play styles.

Abilities

Berserker Rage
Berserker Rage (Innate): For each 1% of health missing, Olaf's attack speed increases by 1%.

Undertow
Undertow (Active): Olaf throws an axe to a target location, dealing physical damage to units it passes through and slowing them for 2.5 seconds. If Olaf picks up the axe, the ability's cooldown is reduced by 6 seconds.

Cooldown: 10 seconds
Range: 1,000

Cost: 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 mana

Physical Damage: 50 / 90 / 130 / 170 / 210 (+0.5 per attack damage)

Slow: 24 / 28 / 32 / 36 / 40 %

Vicious Strikes
Vicious Strikes (Active): For 6 seconds, Olaf's attack damage is increased by a flat amount and 1% of his maximum health. He also gains lifesteal and spell vamp.

Cooldown: 12 seconds

Cost: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 mana

Attack Damage: 7 / 14 / 21 / 28 / 35

Lifesteal & Spell Vamp: 9 / 12 / 15 / 18 / 21 %

Reckless Swing
Reckless Swing (Active): Olaf attacks with such force that it deals true damage to his target and himself.

Cost: 50 mana
Range: 325

Cooldown: 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 seconds

True Damage: 100 / 160 / 220 / 280 / 340

Self Damage: 40 / 64 / 88 / 112 / 136

Ragnarok
Ragnarok (Passive): Olaf has increased armor penetration. Armor Penetration: 10 / 20 / 30
(Active): For a few seconds, Olaf is immune to disables (except silences and blinds) and reduces incoming damage.

Cooldown: 100 seconds

Cost: 100 / 75 / 50 mana

Damage Reduction: 20 / 30 / 40

Duration: 5 / 6.5 / 8 seconds

Masteries
Depending on who you talk to olafs masteries can be done any number of ways but i prefer the standard 21/0/9 with a point into smite.

Runes
3x armor pen quints
9x armor pen marks
9x dodge seals
9x attack speed glyphs
My personal setup it allows you to kill the creeps faster with the attack speed and armor pen and the dodge seals allow you to take less damage.

Summoner Spells
Smite a must have if jungling
Ghost or Flash i prefer ghost so you have an even greater speed advantage over the champion your ganking.

Leveling your skills
Start with a point into your W(voracious strikes)
R>Q>E>W
This is my personal order for leveling them up you may want to level your W more for the life leech but thats up to you.

Jungle Pattern
Make sure to start with a cloth armor and health pots.
Blue -> Wolves -> Red -> Wraiths -> Golems and if you have enough health gank bottom if theyre over extended or go back and buy items.

Gear
Wriggles -> Bloodthirster
3 Move Speed Boots (3 move speed why you ask why not merc treads because if your getting cc'd you press r and lol at the other team)
Frozen mallet
After that it depends on how well your ganks are going and how your teams doing overall defensive items if your not doing so good or more damage items if your doing well. The following is what i typically get.

Force of Nature

Remember to gank early and gank often and always keep dragon and baron warded.
