3 hours hung over at the gym was fair punishment.

Oilers have the highest odds to win the cup according to bookmakers.

Almost every analysts has chosen the Oilers.

Hoping we can channel that underdog mentality and go at the Oilers with intensity.

It's actually great they're considered the underdogs, got the home ice advantage and most importantly the pressure isn't on the Canucks, and they perform well when media/fans/analysts don't expect the Canucks to win.

I don't know how to feel.

My mind is telling me Oilers.

But my body, my body's telling me Canucks.

[Iain MacIntyr] Canucks coach Rick Tocchet reveals rookie callup Arturs Silovs is high-maintenance. The 23 yo has asked for blackout blinds, so he can sleep better. Tocchet: “I’ll do the blackout blinds. Clarkie (goalie coach Ian Clark) can handle the other stuff.”


I love how the Canucks has a system, whenever mcdavid hits the ice, the team doesn't finish their checks to get out of position, but immediately fall back to their position so that mcdavid has to do like mcdavid things to have a chance. Otherwise he's only forced to pass.

Also, Tocchet recently said that he doesn't care about the sog count, as long as they're good shots to take. He doesn't want the team to take the weak angle shots or any risky shots for the matter, in case the rebound goes to them and they spring mcdavid for a breakway. He prefers the team to have puck, and that's the best defense. I believe in the first 2 periods, the Canucks o zone puck possession time was like a minute more than the oilers. Then the 3rd was when the gap took off. As long as they keep it going 5v5 and not throw like Cole did or let em have pp time, I think we're fine. Expected high scoring series and we already got it on the first game, much more entertaining than preds series.
