All we need now is to not lose our draft pick.
Then I can't wait to see what Luke Walton does with our team later this year.

Not really, even if we don't get a top 5 pick we got plenty of cap space now to sign big names. A top 5 pick will be a bonus.

IMO I think you get Westbrook not next season but when he's a fa. Next year you'll suck. Hopefully grow Russel.

Doesn't matter if we have cap space if nobody worth mentioning is coming. I'll believe it when it happens. For now, if we lose this draft pick, it's a big deal.

They hired Luke for a reason. They are going to go hard in the off season. If they wanted to tank for another year they would of kept Byron. So I don't see losing the draft pick as a huge deal if it happens.



I hope this is not the case. Heres to wishful thinking.

They didn't fire Byron because we didn't want to tank. Whether or not Byron is the coach or Walton is the coach this year doesn't matter too much in terms of wins/losses. We are going to still miss the playoffs. I think Byron was fired because he just wasn't a good fit for us. He hindered the progression of our young talent and he didn't have good chemistry with them either. I don't think the Lakers getting Luke all of a sudden raises our chances of getting big free agents. We'll see in the next few off seasons what happens with free agents/trades.
