I'm hopeful for the future.

I would really like a flip of the pick though.

If we keep the pick, then don't go after Love or DeAndre

If we trade the pick then we can grab a true SF, not Wes Johnson. We can also grab Love

Clarkson
Kobe
SF: Maybe Jimmy Butler (pipe dream since its RFA)
Randle
Love or Deandre

Rondo for around 5 million for 1 year, if he's willing to take it.

If we keep it and get KAT

We look like

Clarkson
Kobe
SF: <~ any max calibre player here?
Randle
KAT or Okafor

Who can the pick be traded for? If the Thunders are going to rebuild mode, then maybe try to flip it into Westbrook. thunder has done some crazy trading.

Westbrook
Clarkson
Kobe
Randle
Love

Lineup is decent enough to make the playoffs till Kobe's contract comes off the books. I like the possibilities

I don't want Rando, he's a fucking cancer, has injury issues and seems like his prime days are behind him.

I say make the pick if they believe they'll be a long term center, build around that pick and pursue a big free agent if possible, if not just wait for Kobe's contract to disappear and see what they can do.

Despite a potential Lakers offer for 4 years $80 million, Jimmy Butler says he wants to stay in Chicago.

Kobe denies reports that next season will be his last, says thoughts "are the same as the last time the media asked

i highly doubt kobe will be here post-2016.

anyways, I cant wait till June 25th. Its sad its going to be the brightest point for the Lakers within the past few years but I'll take it.

I read we have ~76 million for next offseason (2016) after kobe retires which is second only to the blazers (but they'll spend a lot of it on lillard and/or aldridge).

Regardless, with the addition of randle and towns/okafor along with the huge cap space we'll have, we have the potential to climb back into playoff position within the next several years.

I don't know how contracts and all that works but I felt they should have traded Hill to a contender at some point during the Dark Age, he was probably an attractive option off the bench for a team like the Clippers, maybe Dallas or Houston or something.

I also feel (and I know I've said this before) that Young should have been shopped for the same reason, maybe a team like Memphis might have wanted a scoring option off the bench, maybe nobody wanted him because he couldn't get the volume of shots he got with this piece of shit Lakers squad though, who knows?

I'm liking how the team could look in a relatively short amount of time. Just avoid Rondo and all is well.

I'm hearing Lakers promised UNLV's Rashad Vaughn with their 27th pick.
