I thought Magic said he hopes they lose every game for draft positioning reasons a few months back.

I look at it two ways, when I'm watching them I want them to win at the time and hope they do well but overall I could give a fuck if they lose out. I just hope they win certain key games, generally against rivals or big name teams lol.

But yeah, their sentiment is bullshit. People who don't mind following them while they tank shouldn't "disgust" anyone. In fact, I'd say the term "disgust" is too severe for fandom of any kind, it's just a sport at the end of the day, fuck them.

This season is lost, so lets just be LOGICAL while looking forward

2015/2016 Next year, Kobe is in his final year. We will have over 20 million in cap space and, given our current record, possibly a top 5 draft pick. We will have Randle back, this years lottery pick.
That season can go two ways. Good or bad. If it goes good, it means we drafted great guys and drafted someone good in free agency. It also means Kobe played well, maybe he goes out on a high note.
If it goes bad, it means we probably didn't get someone good in free agency, meaning we probably didn't lock up that much cash for the future (we signed someone like Hill to a short contract just to fill the salary cap).
It also means we have Randle, our potential top 5 pick from the years' draft and Kobe's contract is up. We're looking at two good picks and possibly around 45 million in cap space. Enough for two max guys, maybe three.
AND, if the future cap is raised by a ton like everyone is projecting, we could basically look at a free agency where we can sign three max players to new, big contracts. And we all know athletes love big contracts.

Someone tell me why both Byron Scott and several greats are being mad at the Lakers fanbase for wanting to lose.
Did the fanbase trade away a first round pick with a top 5 protection on it?
Did the fans decide, or did Mitch/Jim decide that this season, it was destined for Lakers to end up with a great record, meaning that first round pick was going to be a late 20's pick?
Even if we win out, we end up with a horrible record, miss the playoffs and lose our first round pick.
I just don't get it. I don't blame Philly supporters for WANTING to lose because clearly it's not their fault. It's the front office.
I see Kobe, Magic, you name it, post on twitter and whatnot that the fans disgust them.
How about manning the fuck up and say that Mitch and Jim did this, it's their fault the situation is what it is.
