The Introduction:

This is a guide that will help you build the best 1.13 pvp smiter. Treat every piece of equipment as perfect, or extremely close to perfect. I use this exact build on my smiter on USEAST and it can take down every type of enemy with little to no difficulty. Remeber that its not just the build that will make you win, but also how you utalize it. I will not be posting a strategy section simply because everyone has there own playstyle that works for them and some times its more fun to play creatively than strictly by the book.

Section 1: Items

Helm: Ber'd Shako
+2 skills, +2 to attributes, life per lvl, mana per lvl, and great Dr.

Armour: Dusk Shroud Enigma
+2 skills, teleport, strength boost per lvl, max life increae, decent Dr. (Duskshroud gives good defence for a very low strength requirement)

Weapon: Berserker Axe Grief
Great IAS, Amazing damage boost, and ignore targets defense.

Shield: Up'd Ber'd HOZ
+2 combat skills, +2 pally skills, High defence, Great blocking, great strength and vitality bonus', 50 to resistance and decent Dr.

Amulet: Mara's Kaleidoscope
+2 skills, +5 to attributes, 30 to resistances.

Gloves: Crafted sharkskin gloves
20% IAS, At least 8 to strength, 20 to life, and 5 life replenish

Ring #1: BK Wedding Band
+1 to skills, life per lvl.

Ring #2: BK Wedding Band
+1 to skills, Life per lvl.

Belt: Verdungo's Hearty Cord
10 FHR, 40 to vitality, 10 life replenish, Great Dr.

Boots: Waterwalk Sharkskin Boots
Great Defence, 15 to dexterity, 65 to life, 5 to max fire resistance.

Switch:

Weapon: Call To Arms
x/6/x gives boost to life and skills.

Shield: Pally Spirit
+2 skills, helps with your BO.

Inventory:

Torch: Pally
+3 skills, 20 to stats, 20 to resistance.

Anni: +1 to skills, 20 to stats, 20 to resistance.

Grand Charms: 4x Lion Branded Grand Charms of Vita
+1 to combat skills, 45 to life.

Small Charms: 25x Small Charms
20x 20/5's small charms
5x 5 FHR small charms

Stash:
Basic sorb gear for fire, cold and lightning.


Section 2: Skills

Defensive Auras:

Defiance: 20 skill points

Salvation: 1 skill point (option to put 1 skill point here incase of BM dueler using major negatives to resistance)

Offensive Auras:

Might: 1 skill point

Blessed Aim: 1 skill point

Concentration: 1 skill point

Fanaticism: 20 skill points

Combat Skills:

Holy Bolt: 1 skill point

Blessed Hammer: 1 skill point

Smite: 20 skill points

Charge: 1 skill point (once all other skills are placed put rest into charge)

Holy Shield: 20 skill points


Section 3: Stats

Strength: Enough to use your gear. (remember strength bonuses from your items)

Dexterity: Enough to wear your gear. (You could also go for a higher block/ max block route, butt hat will greatly bring down your total life!)

Vitality: Everything left over goes here!!!

Energy: None

why dont you try the build out then instead of saying its sucks? because you hit the ias bp, a good amount of fhr, over 5k hp, 3k damage... whats not good about it then?

looks like 65 fhr? isn't 86 the breakpoint?

edit: woops, spirits only on switch. so it looks like 10 fhr? i must be missing something

to be honest the fhr hasnt made a big difference when i duel, so i ruled it out as a non- factor, the one difficulty was vs. sins who mb like its their day job, but thats when you use charge to go across the screen fast enough so they cant lock you, stun them with a charge then smite to death :)

To fully criticize this guide in order
Shako as the only helm? Kiras + coa are essential to a decent smiter
Beserker axe and phase blade grief should both be listed as weapons
Phaseblade should be used against every character but a barb who can outrange you with whirlwind
Phaseblade is used for the enormous advantage given when charging, a zerker more frequently misses when charging
People will always see numbers and automatically assume 2 > 1 but not understand that 1 has hidden bonuses making 1 > 2
Exile is considered gm in svs so i dont know why it isnt listed
Spirit is needed for 75 fcr bp i dont know why it isnt listed
Why just maras? How is maras resistance more useful against melee than the ias and deadly strike of highlords
Where are the dracs at? Ow is incredibly helpful against es sorcs + necros
The fcr of trangs is essential to any smiter, why are they not listed?
The only rings are dual bk, that retarded
You have no cbf + dex from a raven and no sorb rings which are gm
How does the dr from dungos help vs a caster?
Arachs + tgods should definetly be listed
Arachs is essential, just like trangs, for the fcr bp and slow is an added bonus
Hot spurs should be in the boots section, its league specific if there gm or not
Cta should be listed as a 3 hs 6/6 cta not just a regular
Torch should be listed as 20/20/25 if available
Charge should be maxed before defiance, the benefits from a maxed vs non maxed are make or break
Every paladin of all time has maxblock, a fucking SMITER should be no different

You should learn everything about a smiter before you go and write a guide about one

ok so lets see, this is from my personal prefrence.. so
1) i find shako to be a better helm than constantly switching between 3
2)the charge isnt for damage, but for stun lock
3)THE GM DUELING RULES:

THE NO'S SECTION:

- No use of Life tap.

4)spirit is only listed as switch because i use tele to flee not to chase down
5)ias bp is already reached so highlords can suck it
6)stun lock sorcs with charge, quick switch to smite/ fanta and your good to go
7)fot this build fcr rings are not needed and ill take skill/ life over excess res and str rings ne day.. b/c of my 20/5's
8)why dont you check stash.. where it says "basic sorb gear for cold, fire and lightning" (if you really want me to spell out every piece of sorb i will..)
9)3 hs cta is not 100% necessary, yes i do use one, but the difference at the lvl hs is at from bonuses doesnt make a huge difference
10)ITS CALLED PATCH 1.13 WHICH IS WHY I DIDNT LIST THE 25%....READ THE TITLE
11)defiance gives the boost to hs..which i find more useful than charge
12)you can take MB route if you want... as said above, but i also like having a lot of vita.. boost from hs gives a good mb without pumping in points to dex
13)LOOK AT THE BUILD AND ANALYZE IT BEFORE TRYING TO CALL ME OUT ON EVERYTHING YOUR PATHETIC MIND CAN THINK OF, MAKE A PALLY,,,GM....THEN LETS DO SOME NICE LITTLE WALK SMITES AND SEE WHO WINS
