Breaking: Mariners trade Safeco Field for rights to use LBA (littleleague baseball association) Park on the weekends after committing 5 errors in the first inning.

How confident are you guys feeling about the rotation?

I think it's pretty lame Jerry didn't sign one of Vargas or Cashner or Garcia for a relatively affordable deal, seeing what they each got the last few days.

Im afraid Mike Leake is going to throw the most innings for us this year and Erasmo is going to end up being our #2 starter by the time August comes around. Maybe Ariel if he can stop relying on his fb so much.

I think it's a huge mistake to hope Felix and Paxton can throw a combined 350+ innings.

Not Mariner's fan, but I like your starting rotation. As you said, health is a big concern. Felix is no longer as good in terms of being an ace, but he still has the ability to eat innings, and just shut down players with his fastball command.

But the four returnees expected to inherit the top spots in the rotation were a combined 22-14 with a 3.50 ERA, and two of those -- Mike Leake and Erasmo Ramirez -- were in Seattle only for brief stints after being acquired via trade.

It really is up to Paxton, Leake, and Felix to really just hammer down the team together. I don't think Erasmo is that good enough to be the number #2 in your rotation, and if he ends up as one, then damn that is going to be terrible for you guys.

I'm not confident in our rotation, with Felix and Paxton both coming off injuries it scares me. :(

If the two bigs stay healthy I think Seattle has a chance at a decent season this year.

If Leake and Ramirez pitch how they did in the final part of '17, then it won't be that bad. But that's a huge if.
