k, it doesn't change the fact that ALL AWD, 4x4, and RWD cars require a rear diff.... a solid axle doesn't mean its a 1 piece unit. solid is referring to the casing for the axles that doesn't allow the axles to move up and down independent from eachother. a solid axle still has a differential. IRS rear ends still have differentials. an AWD car has to have a differential in the rear to differentiate power to the wheels, regardless of whether its an open or locked diff.

subarus have rear diffs

dsm's have rear diffs

the old ass 4wd honda civics have rear diffs.

okay i know that when did i say awd cars do not? all i said is most awd cars do not have " SOLID axles the one piece ones like the fucking 1967 ford mustang " they have a differential with CV joints thats all i was trying to say, and for some reason i though the viper has a solid one but i just looked at the pic and i was wrong.

rwd i even posted a pic of the diff you silly goose -.-

that statement insinuates that an AWD car doesn't have a diff, when someone with a brain looks at the pic and see's an IRS setup.

you can still have an AWD car with a solid rear axle to boot. why would you do it? i have NO idea. but you could.
