This build is designed to give me a cheap option when it comes to vlld. While Smite is not a melee skill and would not be used in melee tournaments, its very useful for ranged and pub duels. Built properly i believe this char has the fewest weakness of any vlld build.

Str = 70
Dex = enough for max block with pally shield
Vita = Rest
Energy = none

Skills:

Max Defiance
Max Sacrifice
1 into smite
Rest into Might (you only use this on occasion for fun but you have to put em somewhere )

Cheap Setup:

Hat: 60def sigs (maxer'd)
Armor: Sigs (maxer'd)
Gloves: 15def sigs
Belt: 11def sigs
Boots: 15def sigs
Shield: 25def sigs (smite side. this is really the key to the cheap build so don't go thinking a spiked shield would be better. Full sigs offers to many bonuses to ignore such as 7dr) 60+ed%/100+ar/4os pally shield maxer'd (Sac side)
Weapon: Crushflange (smite side) Clegs or 5socket war scepter maxer'd (Sac side)
Charms: Aim for 15life Large charms. Some people like to use a fhr charm to reach a breakpoint. This isn't needed but u can use one if you want.
Rings: Nagel's or rare with ar/stats/rep
Amulet: Rare with ar/stats/rep

Perfect Gear: (Very expensive)

Hat: 15ed% 3os Crown with max/ar jewels Or 80+def/2os/eth/rep Crown with max/ar jewels
Armor: 15ed% Ancient Armor with max/ar/def jewels (2x of these need -15 req to get it down to 70str) Or 30+ed%/2os/Eth/Rep Ancient Armor
Gloves: 15def sigs
Belt: 11def sigs
Boots: 15def sigs
Shield: 25def sigs (smite side) 65+ed%/121+ar/15edef%/4os Rondache with max/ar/def jewels (Sac side)
Weapon: Crushflange (smite side) 3 Defiance/5os War Scepter with ed/max/ar jewels
Charms: Aim for 15life/12ar Charms here. 15life/3defense are usable as well. You won't need any with mana. A fhr charms can be used if you feel the need, but hopefully you wont be getting hit allot with the crazy defense that this build provides.
Rings: 2x 75+ar/2str/2dex/5rep
Amulet: 5str/5dex/5rep

Strategy:

Start the duel by Smiting your opponent. If you get them stunned and they dont back out this will be a quick duel in your favor. Smite them down to under half life then proceed to switch to your sacrifice side. At this point you will probably be ahead and have the advantage of large defense in a toe to toe matchup. If you are having a hard time getting hits smite once with your sacrifice side just to stun them and proceed to sacrifice till they die a cruel and painful death.

a sigons character like a jabber actually is godly against this lol

Max inner sight jabber is the hardest build for this char

atd from sigs destroys smite tho

why sigon shild on smite side? i dont get it

seams like a nice build, use smite at first then switch to sac=gg shit

sig shield completes the sigons set and gives these bonuses

all atd is nullified by 7dr the jabber is still the toughest opponent for this char do to the way insight works before defiance aura.
