The clutch itself is just under $800. It's because it's an s2000 not a civic. an accord or a civic is a couple hundred, but performance cars everything is pricey. I mean i pay $200 PER TIRE when i got those replaced. It's just how it is.

But I am hoping to stay around 1300. I think I can live with that.

Yeh and the way you talk makes it seem you know nothing about cars. I could have put 40 dollar tires on and you wouldn't know the difference.

Just so you dont get raped, look at exedy which makes 95% of clutches.

There is what you need for 350 bucks searching exedy clutch s2000 on Google second link. Who are you getting your pricing from? Honda?

if you own an s2k you should have enough common sense to put in a clutch.

buy the clutch, read a diy and boom save yourself a few hundred dollars and save us time with your qqing questions about a blown clutch.

and estimated labor is about 80+/hr at least that's what I charged when I did 30, 60, 120ks

No sir, that is not how it is. I drive a 2002 Z06 Corvette which IMO......is far far more of a performance car than an S2K. 200$ per tire sounds like a dream to me, try 450 a tire....

I just checked the price of a full clutch kit for my car, and actually am shocked at the price really.

385$. Still too damn expensive I think, but it sure beats 800$. I also have to figure that mine is going to be a better clutch.
