first there are several different calibers of follicle testing as well as every other kind of testing (swab, test, urine, blood etc). you must realize that for the substance to show up in your test at all it must be present in the sample. can you actually imagine one hit (or breathing secondhand smoke) being distributed to enough blood to be prevalent in a test that checks one hair on the body? this THC would be so dilluted that is would be extremely hard to detect. not to mention it isnt just stored in yout 6 quarts of blood but also in your fat cells/hair/mucus etc. if it is a low paying job they would use urine analysis. hair follicle is much harder to cheat, but still has limitations.

tl;dr version: one hit = you are 99% good.

I wouldn't worry about it. Now if he smoked more than one hit then he is most likely screwed. Like the poster above you man, he should be straight as long as he just smoked that tiny bit... it takes more than that to be distributed through your body enough to even be present.... as well as there is an accepted level of THC (or a facsimile of the chemical)... I doubt they have the nanogram level low enough to detect that... they would be paying out their freaking nose for it. (my info is actually from a tech at Tripler Army Medical Facility, where the Army does the majority of its testing).

well i suppose there is always a small chance, but would they really stress over such a small amount? could have walked by someone outdoors and inhaled that amount.
