This suggestion is created in reference to an unrealistic poll that wished to receive free Vault Monthly Slot Rentals. Obviously, Vault Slots/Guild Transfer Days/ Marketplace fees/etc, were implemented as a means to continuously remove fg from the site. This is a wise business-minded decision that Paul must maintain in effect to ensure the financial solvency and integrity of this site. This should be an obvious fact to everyone and needs to be stated for the record.
Now to the question at Hand: “How can I stop paying these Monthly Vault Fees?” while still realizing a steadfast need to continue removing fg from the site. The answer is simple: "Pay a 1 time fee to permanently own Vault Slots in blocks of 25". Now the true question still remains unanswered: “How much must be charged for this option to make fiscal sense?”
Here is what I would consider if I were Paul on this matter. Keep in mind that I just reduced this from a formula with 14x variables. In the end, this decision should be based solely on the recurring Vault users as this will be the biggest monthly potential revenue lost:
*What is the average estimated lifespan of an LS Player who purchased at least 6 Vault Renewals(In Months)? [LifeSpan]
VaultPurchasePrice = 100fg * LifeSpan
Lets say Paul determines that the users who renew their vaults monthly at least a half a dozen times have an estimated game lifespan of 15 months. Now, imo, Paul should charge 100fg*15 = 1500fg per 25 slot.
Advantages to Paul for Implementing a Perm Ownership Of Vault Slots
1. Prices were determined on the Lifespan of the users with the greatest Vault Fee Renewals. Every person who only sporadically purchased vaults and quit LS early will be providing the site a Greater Lifetime Investment
2. People may tend to purchase much bigger vaults than they typically use. (I personally would unlock 1000 total slots and usually only run a 100 slot vault). A double the price implemented for the first 25slots can hedge the bet on this.
3. Less stress from the community on saving for a vault. Not everyone practices the proper financial behaviors to save for a monthly vault fee.
Long story short. If we’re going to build a case that directly effects the bottom line of an establishment, propose it in a way that actually becomes a financial opportunity and we may just get our wish.
Note: The option for rentals would still exist. This is simply a means to Own slots if someone wishes.
