I believe my proposed solution removes the laser clutter, still identifies a caster who held in 'ctrl', and allows for the useful visuals to serve a purpose.

Here is my suggestion. Who creates the most 'spam' with the lasers. If you said a MegaCritting caster, then you deserve a gold star. As I am a fan of the lasers, I do have a suggestion for improvement to get 'the best of both worlds'. Everyone obviously knows that a caster who holds down 'ctrl' is going to mega crit and place an attack on every mob. Why not simply remove this laser show spam from the equation as it accomplishes nothing imo. Multiple 'ctrl' casters make a comprehension of the lasers impossible for melee or single target casters. I suggest that a caster holding down 'ctrl' to attack should be represented as either: a sort of backlight illuminate behind the char (an oval type light illuminates behind the char), an illuminated outline of the char, or the char itelf lightens in color.

I think that the longer he holds down his ctrl key, the more his icon puffs until it pops like an over-inflated balloon, and we get nice sparkly sprinkles all over the combat field

Now we'd also be able to have legitimate RIP crai topics in SC as a result

I bought sunglasses, very dark ones. The lasers no longer bug my eyes
