Ok, It happend to me a few times that I was typing a topic, wanting to make it bold.
As I typed the entire topic & then hit "post new topic" without checking the box by accident.
I had to nag against a TM to close the topic so i could make a new one.

I think you should be able to change your topic to bold/red/italic or whatever after you've made it.

for example : you make a topic with an interesting item, but you see nobody is viewing it, you make it bold to get noticed.

Ofcourse you wouldn't be able to undo a bold/red/italic title.
But it's usefull and i don't see how it could hurt anyone.

Also, i'm not sure if this has been suggested before,
if it has.. I would still like some arguments why this shouldn't work.

Feedback please smile.gif

If you forget to bold it its not very difficult to PM a TM, TA, or even some moderators (zackaria_dki) to have them lock the thread so you can repost. This is like asking the site to spell check for you. Really wouldn't be useful and would be a waste of time. Just get it locked and repost. This also may cause avoiding the bump rule.

Bad idea imo, no use at all.

How would this avoid bump rule?
It would just allow you to make your topic bold, red, italic after having this posted,
this suggestion is also because mods, ta's & tm's are very busy already and save them some time.

Please tell me how this would avoid bump rule, i'm curious.
Also how is this 'a spellcheck'... have you even read the topic?

Pretty good idea. Kind of unnecessary, but cool I guess.

I suggested it and Paul knows about it. The Positive feedback I got was Yea this would be nice, I get it all the time. The negative feedback was just Pm it to a moderator and they will trash it so you can post it again.

There was more negative than positive, but I still want it to happen.

Bold/Red Font In Topic Title After It Being Posted
I was just wondering, if like the edit function.. If we could it so we can change the title to being Bold/Red after it has been posted..

its a decent idea but its just as easy to wait 4 hours and copy paste the content of the post, if some people have already bid, just post c/os in new bold thread with a link to the original
no from me, although if it was added i wouldnt complain
