pretty sure more got banned than quit though one leads to the other usually. also with blizzard remastering old games i think everyone is just waiting for the facelift on the game.

Word is they only remastered StarCraft because SC2 pro circuit is dying and the classic StarCraft is making a huge comeback in South Korea. They remastered it for the huge profit margin since this old esport is actually growing again. Blizzard apparently has little to no plans to remaster any other classic title. Hope I'm wrong though!

Yes but you'd think blizzard realize the potential financial gain they could have from a remastered with their own item shops. Honestly why else the sudden concern for bots? They are cleaning up/cleaning house to Pave the way for remastered.
