"...and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands..." -1 Thessalonians 4:11
In a culture that is so consumed with social media, lies telling you that you're value is only in your looks or material possessions, and envy as we compare ourselves to one another...let's learn to fix our eyes on Christ and all that He so freely gives to us. Life, freedom, joy, peace, love. And from that place, let's live out the gospel in a world that urges us to boast in ourselves through Facebook statuses and Tweets. There's something to be said about the people who put our heads down, work hard, and press on for the sake of what God has called us to do: be lights and salts. Remember. Even Jesus lived a quiet, hard working life as a carpenter for the first 30 years of his life.
