Proficiency Charts

It is realized that one cannot precisely predict with certainty how many MQs it will take to reach a desired proficiency level. Variables which can greatly affect these numbers include: Gear, Cata/Arena, proficiency EE on weapons, deaths, welling, etc.

As a result, I created a charting system which will predict how many MQs it will take to complete a 5 lvl proficiency range using your current proficiency points last recorded. To do this, simply note how many proficiency points your character acquired starting at 1 and ending at MQ (don’t die) and look at the below charts.

Lets do an example:
Say you recorded 4250 proficiency points last climb and your prof you are watching is currently prof 11. Look at the range of 11-15 for a # that is closest to 4250 points.
You will note that prof chart showing ‘4.5k at the 1-10 lvls’ has a 4125prof point at 11-15. This is the chart that best fits you and what will be best in your approximations. Now from reading the chart, to go from 11 to 15 in proficiency, it will take16 climbs. To go from 16 to 20 will take 24 climbs. Hence, if you wanted to know how many climbs it would take you to get to 20 from your current prof of 11, it would be 16+24=30 climbs.
Take note that I did take into account the fact proficiency isn’t attained until you reach a lvl past your proficiency.

My formulas are seen below:
Prof_Points: Simple Addition
%Climb_Get_Prof: (70 - Top_Level_in_Range) / (70)
Avg_Prof_Per_Climb: (%Climb_Get_Prof) * (variable # to make 500 multiples at 1-10 mark)
Climbs_Needed_for_Prof: (Prof_Pnts) / (Avg_Prof_Climb)

Sorry, it appears I can only do 3 pics per link. Hence all my posts.
I am copying over some valuable insight from some top LS players from my first thread:

318 on warlock, but i also did...
19 on the other classes this season(only casting from 35+...but i dont gain prof til after then anyway)
~40 on monk/ninja last season(switched to casting after the ls nerf, casting from 35+, this is where i started from 0 light prof)
^^ this was all 100% solo i believe, may have been an odd cata climb with friends here and there

i dont know how to explain it but your math seems wrong to me somehow, or im not understanding it correctly maybe.

e/ also the prof per climb completely varies per person depending on how good their gear is, if their welling along the way, etc.

also if you were doing hundreds of wells you were getting far more prof than an average climb would give, wells will most likely get you that max of 10 hits/profpts that you can get per mob whereas regular mobs will die in 1-3 hits(from my light i mean i suppose), a lot of my prof came from doing large prof gaining things as well(i did 65-75 solo nomaze for around 50 climbs(this gave about 2k prof pts per climb), i did 100+ wells every climb for 200+ climbs, etc.)

2nde/ i spent a lot of time trying to keep track of my profs and figure out stuff like this...then i decided whats the point and deleted most of the stuff i had kept track of it in because it changes too much and is just worthless info, but whatever floats your boat.

Warlock 0/162 +162 Gps
Warlock 1/156 +180 Gps

318 climbs as warlock for cole, and he has 40. Factor in that you lose about 15-20 climbs worth of profs per rip 25 prof+ that could be about right with a few deads

I am not sure how it factors in with me

but I have 28 prof wind + 11 prof earth those are my caster charms I did 110 caster climbs. before I passed to HH, only did melee on feeder/samurai casted paladin/monk/ninja

So that is 28 wind prof + 76.000 prof points from earth. So that would put me at 30 wind prof 17.000 points into 31.

So after 110 climbs 30 wind prof 54% into next rank

if i read your scheme correct it says it takes you 100 climbs for 30 prof. i believe if i understand it

not sure what my post is about I am just rambling

You forgot one thing in my opinion.
Healing Proficiencies are alot different.
Attacks are roughly 3-5 times more consistent than using Heal... even solo'ing.

Example: I became MONK...
Rank3 Focus
Rank0 Staff

I am now:
Rank10 Focus
Rank13 Staff

That was from October to Now... including at least 5 deaths
