How to make a Classic Chanter

This is a user friendly guide on how to make a chanter on Diablo2 classic. The gear is very cheap and chanters are very useful for leveling in classic from lvl 1-25. I recommend level 67 for chanter, this will be anough to max your skills and also wear a +2 skills sorceress amulet.

Gear
Helm- Tarnhelm (Any %mf will do)
Weapon- +2 sorceress staff with +3 enchant
Armor- Silks of the Victor (+1 to skills)
Gloves- Magefists (Adds +1 to fire skills)
Boots- Any random boots will do
Belt - Any random belt will do
Left Ring- Stone Of Jordan (+1 to skills)
Right Ring- Stone Of Jordan (+1 to skills)
Amulet- Random +2 Sorceress skills amulet

This gear setup will give you max +skills for a chanter.

Stats

100 Base strength to wear silks. Any other stats can go into vitality or energy. I recommend energy for multiple chants.

Skills (Level 67)
20 Warmth
20 Enchant
20 Fire Mastery
Extra skills can be added to tele or whatever you like.


*** Following this guide will give you maximum damage for a chanter. Also make sure you have a Raven Claw (unique bow) available as well as Deaths Set (Gloves + Belt). Raven Claw has **Fires Explosive Arrows or Bolts** which is good for killing large groups fast. Deaths gloves+ belt will give you 30% increased attack speed as well as 8% life leech for faster killing.

It's worth mentioning that an Enchanter doesn't need to have Sojs and a +2/+3 staff to be useful.

You can make one on a budget with Iron Jang Bong/Tarn/Silks/Mages, which will work fine for 1-25 exping.

I was going for maximum +skills, but yes the sojs and +2 +3 enchant staff are optional to make the chanter cheaper

Yes, I have recently had a few people ask me how to make a chanter. I can just point them to this guide.

I bet thats usefull when it doesnt take the fire dmg from chant into calculation.

when you've only got xxx life and a raven, its pretty usefull actually. You ever tried it ?

Worth mentioning also that cathans rings and ammy add 20 str.
Extremely useful for when you don't want to use str for the Enchantee and if you fall short on amethyst to make a glitching helm.

It's worth to mention, that a chant sorc should have in stash:

Level 1+:
- short bow (optional: 3 sox with chipped amethyst, which give pretty useful AR bonus on low lvls. )
level 6+
- death set ( gloves + belt: 30 % ias, some res, and cannot be frozen)
level 12+
-Angelic (2 rings + amu, they add a bunch of life and AR, dex!-> will be useful for Raven later)
level 15+
-Cap -> soxed with two flawless amethysts, they add the str wich you will need for twich and Raven
-Raven
level 16+
-Twich (giving ias)
