So recently ( the past week )
my ping has been up high causing tele lag and not fun duels.
my ping has always been from 30-75
but just the past week its been 175-350 and never goes lower.

ive called my isp and they said my connection is just fine.
i downloaded some registry files from blizzard for the correct server list still with no luck.

within the last month ive upraded to windows 7 i dont know if this could be affecting it, since it worked fine untill a week ago.

any suggestions?

It could be caused by video lag, sound lag, viruses, spyware.
Do you have enough RAM?

Have you ever reloaded your computer?
Over time, things just slow down and aren't as effective. I do it to my computer every year or so.

Go to Diablo II folder and run the video test.

Select 2d and then click ok.

Right click diablo II shortcut and go to properties > compatibility > disable desktop composition.

Hopefully that helps.

Close d2 & Delete Bncache.dat which is located into your d2 folder

What does that do?

Bncache.dat (bnet log files cache) is often the main source of several fps/ping issues, especially when its size is over 1000 kb

Don't worry, nothing bad could happen deleting it. Although it will reappear once you logon.

i have no idea whats wrong.

If your connection runs well make sure your computer doesn't have too much active processes and enough memory space.
Are you actually trying to connect on the proper server ? US East I guess for you @ MI
