Recently there have been many changes in agility.
With Prince_Of_Darkness's permission I have reworked his guide to fit these updates.

The Higher Your Agility:
~You are able to tackle more and more obstacles
~Your energy replenishes quicker
~The less you weigh the the quicker your energy increases
~You have a chance to catch 2 tuna, swordfish, or shark, in one try.
~You have a chance to pickpocket double, triple, or quadruple
~Catching butterflies without a net

Lowering your weight:
~Boots of Lightness -4kg (Obtained in The Temple of Ikov Quest)
~Penance Gloves -4kg to -5kg (Obtained in Barbarian Assault)
~Spotted Cape -2kg to -3kg (Requires 40 Hunter)
~Spottier Cape -4kg to -5kg (Requires 66 Hunter)
~Agile Top -12kg (Requires 250 laps of the Advanced Barbarian Course)
~Agile Legs -10kg (Requires 250 laps of the Advanced Gnome Course)

Ways of Restoring Energy:
~White Tree Fruit 8%
~Sweets 10%
~Energy Potion 20% per dose
~Energy Mix 20% per dose
~Summer Pie 10% +5 Agility
~Super Energy Potion 40% per dose
~Super Energy mix 20% per dose
~Strange Fruit 30%
~Goutweed Tuber 100%
~Mint Cake 100%
~Explorer's Ring Restores rune energy a number of times per day
~40 Summoning, with the Bull Ant and it's Unburden Scrolls it is possible to restore your energy
~52 Summoning, with the Spirit Terrorbird and it's Tireless Run Scrolls it is possible to restore your energy
~Salt Water Spring Restores Run Energy to 100% for a short period of time

Equipment:

A knife, you can find Pineapples Near the course and you can cut them up if you find yourself low on health!
Also, you can bring noted food and coins as there is a General Store near the course, all you have to do is seel and then buy back.

I recommend that you don't try to get 99 Agility straight away for you will quickly quit unless you have the patience of a god.
Try to vary your activities, Get an Agility level then do Barbarian Assault for a while to fill your horn,
then go back to Agility so that your motivation is always there.

Good Luck Everyone!

One main question. Wouldn't one course, where you don't fail, be faster? or is it even though you fail some parts, you still make up for the xp?

Probably badly worded question...

If you're referring to using the Wilderness course over the Ape course until 75, think about how many revenants you'll have to avoid from 70-75. That will slow you down.

Very well put-together Guide. :) It actually makes me want to go hit 80+ Agility now, as it's one of my favorite skills. :P
