Holy crap, I just found out Robert Elster from Vibrasphere has another project going on. (Since 2011 — boy, I'm slow.) Interestingly, it's more of a dubstep (I know) and glitch kind of project. It's got some class though, and I think it sounds really good for what it is. I'm usually more into more "streamlined" music I guess you could say. Long atmospheres and that kind of thing, but the glitch sound has been catching on lately and I'm glad to see he's still doing music. I saw a poster from this year which had Vibrasphere (By Robert Elster) and Solar Fields on the lineup. Holy shit, I would love to go to that. I thought Vibrasphere was done, but maybe Robert is reviving it? I'm not sure what the "By Robert Elster" is supposed to mean, and it's even stranger because Rickard was the one who was touring in the past. He usually toured alone as Vibrasphere without Robert and I think one of the reasons they broke up originally (before coming back together to make a few more albums) was at least in part because Robert wasn't interested in touring. That's been my impression anyway, and now here's Vibrasphere on a lineup with ONLY Robert. What the hell is going on? More Vibrasphere??? I fucking hope so!

Anyway, his other duo project is Kritical Audio:

Been obsessed with these guys lately. If you're into the post-rock kind of stuff, these guys are really top-notch. Right up there with This Will Destroy You. So emotive, really tugs on my heart strings. Red Forest is another great album by them, but so much of their stuff is just solid gold. Really excited to have heard about these guys!
