The Carroll County Times is reporting that Baltimore Ravens linebacker/defense end Terrell Suggs has a slight MCL tear. This injury is similar to the one Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu suffered in the season opener and would keep Suggs out for a significant period.
The Ravens are upset because they felt Suggs' injury was unnecessary. In Monday night's 16-0 victory over the Cleveland Browns, quarterback Brady Quinn cut an unsuspecting Suggs at the knees after throwing an interception, which knocked Suggs out of the game.
Quinn was fined Wednesday by the NFL for the hit. But that doesn’t help Baltimore all that much.
This injury comes at a crucial time as the Ravens (5-4) are fighting for a wild-card spot and desperately need to put together some wins against very tough opponents. Baltimore will host the Indianapolis Colts (9-0) and Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3) in its next two games.
In other Ravens news, the team signed veteran kicker Billy Cundiff, who kicked for the Browns earlier this year. Baltimore released Steve Hauschka on Tuesday.
Fuck you Brady Quinn. Seriously, right before Colts?
