This thread is dedicated to the most successful club in Italian history.
This is a huge year for Juventus, as we now, 2006/2007 with Calciopoli, Juve was demoted to Serie B, and lost valuable sponsors and players.
Players lost include, Ibrahimovic, Mutu, Viera, Thuram, Zambrotta, Cannavaro.
It took one year to get back up to Serie A, and under Ranieri and a brilliant year by Del Piero and Trezegol Juventus finished 3rd place. Very successful year for Juve.
Last year, with pressure on, they finished 3rd, Ranieri lost his job, not a lot of additions to the team was the reason, they did add Sissoko and Amauri, who are great, Poulsen was a flop, but is coming around.
This year, Ciro Ferrara (Ex- Juventus defender, and Was the defensive coach for Italy 2006 WC Champions) stepped up, and although he looked a bit nervous the first few games, he was afraid to go forward, and as a result Juve dropped some points.
Summer transfer additions- Diego (Werder Bremen), Grosso (Lyon), Felipe Melo (Fiorentina), Cannavaro (Real Madrid), Martin Caceres (Barcelona)
Formation- (4-2-3-1)
Buffon
Grygera(Caceres)-Chiellini-Cannavaro(Leggrotaglie)-Grosso
Melo(Poulsen)-Sissoko(Marchisio, Possibly to fill this role as well, he is injured)
Camoranesi (Tiago)-Diego-Giovinco (Marchisio, possible)
Amauri/Trezegol/Iaquinta (Iaquinta Injured.) (Del Piero Injured)
I really like this formation, although I can't see Del Piero fitting in once he is back, maybe a 4-4-2 to see the Legend!
