What do you think would give me most average damage? I believe str is usually better than dex for damage puposes, but is this true even when there is a large gap between the two values like 170/80?


I don't know the relation between str/dex however for maximum damage your str should be higher then your dex, generally.

I would recommend you try both 170/80 and 150/100 and make a thread with your results once you find out :)

Where does it say that critical strikes ignore defense?

I'll post my results when i get there. I'd say i'm due for a stack of fails on paly though, and i climb pretty slowly (might not even hit monk before mcclain resets) :P i'll certainly do this when/if i get the chance.

Isn't that armor pierce?

Crits just increase damage dealt.

Never heard of armor pierce before.

And besides I've done tests that showed more dex increased % rate of these attacks happening.

Prove me wrong, until then, CS -> ignore target defense.

this is what it says under the magical stats section on the LS portal page.

Armor Pierce Gives a % chance to ignore the target Defense for your melee attack. Lowered target defense will result in more damage dealt.

Well CS ignore target defense + boost damage.

AP only ignores targets defense. I didn't have any mods when doing these tests just a tier one weapon and dex from stat points.

It doesn't say it ignore's target defense.
