Removing Program From Computer Registry

If you have uninstalled a program you have basically just uninstalled the program from the desktop. To completely remove the program you NEED to get it out of the registry. But know that your Computer's registry is VERY important to running your computer and you should back your system up before attempting this. If you do NOT know what you are doing I recommend that you do NOT attempt this.

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING. If you delete the wrong program you can screw up your system.

Do this at Your Own Risk.

Step 1 : Click on your start menu and click the run tab.

Step 2 : At this point you will need to type in "regedit.exe" and press enter. Once this opens up your registry, you can now look for what you want edit.

Step 3: You will be given 5 choices to choose from. But the one you need to go to is HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. You can either double-click the word or press the "+" button to expand it.

Step 4 : Once you have expanded this section just scroll down until you find the program that you want delete and then delete it.
