I don't like the idea of putting Alaba an Lahm into the midfield because it means someone worse like Rafinha will play on the FB position.

But with a 3-player-defense it would at last make sense! Though more like this:

Somehow, this looks like the position Boateng was made for Alaba and Lahm still could run the lines but with a more flexible interpretation

Martinez switches between DM and CB. If you want to play much more offensive, sub him out and Thiago in; Schweinsteiger takes Javi's position

problem with this formation is... who do they have as a backup cb? they most certainly would have to sign an additional one if they wanna play like this...

Well, Dante as back-up. If two CBs are out, just switch back to 4-5-1

All this demands a lot of tactical flexibility. But the team has the potential to adapt to that, we didn't bring in too many new players so they know how to work with each other

And I believe though Pep's system wasn't perfect (at the end of) last season, when he's obsessed with an idea, he can implement it into the team

well dante as backup is only one for 3 positions. sure, you can always change up the formation, especially if you are guardiola and hav***ern's players but i'd still consider it a risk planning to play regularly with 3 cbs when you only have one good backup.
and to be honest i'm still not convinced martinez is a proper centre back. i like him better in midfield to be honest...

Id like to see Martinez as holding midfielder. He should play with Thiago.
Hopefully Götze will play more often

I like that Pep is experimenting though, he's got a ton of options to choose from. Still can't believe that we have Lewandowski, he's the perfect striker for the team. He's been in lethal form the past 2 years at least and is very promising in his first appearances with Bayern, really looking forward to seeing him play in competitive matches.
