Just as Pep failed with Fabregas used as a second striker / Trequartista. Fabregas' best role is deep lying playmaker, with a view of the whole pitch. Lacks the speed to go past mid line, has excellent vision and passing range to start attacks from deep.
It was as stupid to play GODze as a fake no9. Lacks the movement and ball control/dribble to decide game on his own.
Put him on wing or in advanced midfield position with the playmaking duties and he'll start performing. Kagawa role.

ribery really is on fire, lets hope it can stay that way ^^ (knocking on wood)
