u can sidestep faster
i try to sidestep on my ps3 controller and it jumps sometimes and then i get juggled >.<
i guess u just have to get used to arcade sticks but once u are its 10x much easier

and hori's are good because u can mod them
and yes the joystick that comes with the game is good and well worth it
