Mmhmm. I few things come to mind just now on my part.

I've forgotten a section where it shows how a Sorceress can hit 3000 life, 4000, even 5000 all by herself =X

Most of my friends on USWest know I keep rebuilding my characters (and buying level jobs for them due to my utmost laziness).

You know, I've just noticed that your equipment setup appears very, very similar to my old Light Sorceress (I've had the pleasure of it being stolen and deleted unfortunately, but I look forward to remaking it in the new ladder should it come). I too have ran through a dozen or so remakes, and I find this one my favorite.

I ran a 200FCR/142FHR Vitality Sorceress that could switch down to 117FCR/86FHR/50DR

I used the following setup normally:

Her Stats were enough STR for the heaviest setup, rest in VIT.
Standard skills, maximize lightning, 1 thunderstorm/tele/warmth.

I think she hit 3500-3900 life, somewhere in that area; forgot on mana.
I'm sure both setups hit the 39000-40000 mark.

What do you think? It'd be nice to be on the same realm and have a 1v1 with each other; a duel between two seriously rigged Lightning Sorceresses sounds interesting, especially since (I assume) we both make use of the more interesting techniques such as Chain Namelocking.

On your build, I like how yours turned out to be, maximizing Life and such. I think our two Sorceresses have a 300 life difference at most, and a 10k max damage difference. However if we were to duel, we'd be pretty much on even ground and would end up challenging our respective skills.

GG Guide.

This guide, again, is not at it's finished state, for the most part.

I'm not going to be able to do the class-specfic strategies as I would've liked, but if people end up frustrated against a certain class, post and I'll see what I can do. I stand firm in my belief that if you have good common sense and know those general strategies I outlined, you will turn out just fine.

The only real "not finished" part would probably be the equipment section. I planned for it to feature a few sample setups, not neccessarily the absolute best possible (what is a guide when it hands you all the greater builds right off the bat? some may find it a better guide, but I believe that it is better for a guide to feature effective/strong setups, then have the player learn where it can improve).

But anyway, if you feel like it, post your setups and I will add them to their proper equipment section and update the credits section (soon to come).

ehm this build i found quite good, u reach exact the 200 fcr bp but i don't see the reason for:

1. why u use a fcr ring without strength
2. why u are using life / mana scs
3. Why u are using a fhr sc?
4. The jewels in ur helm, 9+8 str = 17 str = 17 vita = 34 life, sock the helm with either 2* jah or 2*prubys and u'll reach a hell of alot more life then 34 * X% bo added, replace the life/mana scs to compensate the loss of ur resists, since u don't even need the mana added since ur allowed to drink mana with vita sorc etc, which u barely do need with +1 to warmth either so

with that gear u reach a fhr at: 55+55+20+24+4(5 but heard rumours about bugged fhr sc) = 158 fhr, when bp is at 142... so that means u can replace a fhr skiller with a life skiller etc,
and then ofc the totally useless usage of a soh but style i guess
what is socked in the Viper?

this build has too much of fcr on it, 20+20+20+20+10+10+40 = 140, the bp is at 117, and ur fhr is at: 89, then i would suggest:
unsock the 2*shaels in the circlet, and sock it with Jah's / Prubys, and replace magefist with bloodfist, remove the 1 fhr sc with a 20 life/xx res sc, and add 1 more skiller into fhr, that would make it: 120 fcr, 86 fhr and ur life would be: + Jahs, +bloodfist 40+ , -40 on skiller, +20 on sc, which will still be +++

but still seems to be quite a decent build but a bit over the brakepoints but still ok

if i did some miscalculations plz do correct me and let me explain my thoughts

am still a bit confused about ur choice of rings / small charms replace the scs with 20 / xx fire/light/cold resis and ur resistance will be just fine

edit: and i would also suggest u using eschutas instead of Hoto, with the scs at 20 life / xx resis u won't have any problem whatsoever with the resistances at nightmare, and the fact that u NEED a 5/5 DIE jewel in PvP

The extra FHR is there cause I'm a bit lazy when it comes to adapting gear switches. With the bit of extra FHR in the charms, all I'd need to do is switch the actual gear.

Plus I ran out of runes get nice ones.

Life Mana SCs: I had them lying around. I could've switched them for Resist All/Life SCs, but ran out of runes.

FHR SC: see above x 2

Circlet: I was actually going to do that initially, however my friend accidentally put them in, so I ended up going "oh well, might as well deal with it".

Viper actually had a 15res/9str jewel.

The second setup, reason it has too much FCR is cause I tried to pull it off to where I needed minimal gear switches to attain that 50DR while maintaining other mods.

And I used HotO cause I like the resist.

And that 5/5Die Facet, maybe when I remake this Sorceress, I'll stick it in the Vipermagi.

I also did consider the use of Resist/Life SCs (individual) but I ended up not doing so cause all the people who had the nice ones were hogging them for their own characters.

'cause I originally planned for the guide to give sample setups, then hopefully hear other people's setups (like those from people who built upon the sample setups I gave and found out where they could improve it) and add them in.

well maybe in a near future closer to the reset etc i might aswell say the 142 fhr, and with different gear to compliment it etc, like IF u now would need abs, what u could use instead of this and that and still reach the breakpoints u need
